$8m Cinema Extension.
Crackerjack completed the design and documentation for this cinema extension over the existing concrete framed building. This included:
- careful structural analysis to assess existing load paths
- completion of existing frame strengthening, and
- design of new steel framed auditoriums, hung projector rooms and plant platforms.
We designed multiple transfer trusses/frames to limit the extent of strengthening works to the commercial and restaurant facilities at ground and 1st floor level so that they remained operational during the construction works.
