A $6m mixed-use 4-storey development in Port Adelaide. The structure was designed to include reinforced concrete raft footings and a concrete 1st floor slab supporting an innovative use of loadbearing lightweight metal stud framing to support the floors and roof. The lightening of superstructure enabled the use of a doubly reinforced raft slab eliminating the requirements for piles saving the contract approximately $600,000.
Crackerjack Consulting Engineers completed the civil and structural design in conjunction with the design team as part of a design and construct project.
