CJCE completed the design and documentation to this $8m cinema extension over the existing concrete band beam retail deck which included careful structural analysis to assess existing load paths, completion of existing frame strengthening and design of new steel framed auditoriums, hung projector rooms and plant platforms. CJCE introduced a number of transfer trusses/frames to limit the extent of strengthening works to the commercial and restaurant facilities at ground and 1st floor level so that they remained operational during the construction works.
